EQUIPMENT
We recommend that you use the rifle with which you feel most comfortable. In most cases a medium to high velocity cartridge with bullet weight exceeding 150 grain will be adequate.
A selection of the most frequently used calibre and ammunition is available for rent with prior arrangement. There is a charge on rental of the firearms and the used rounds.
You are allowed to import your own equipment into Namibia. Should you wish to do so, the following information would be required before the Safari: calibre and make, serial number, name of licence holder and the licence number, address of your hunting destination.
The importation of firearms forms must be filled out at Customs upon entry, and the copy submitted on departure as a proof of export.
Please note that the local regulations prohibit importation of handguns and semi-automatic rifles.
